AGES 12 - 16

    • When: August 10-14, 2026 - 9:00am to 4:00pm daily

    • Where: Windsor United Church - 613 King St., Windsor, NS

    • Deadline to Register: Sunday, August 2, 2026

    • Drop off: No earlier than 8:45am

    • Pick up: No later than 4:15pm

    • Maximum Capacity: 20 campers

  • Welcome to your Theatre Crash Course!

    Each morning, we will focus on a different theme or skill, offering a “crash course” in the basics of many aspects of theatre (improv, audition skills, physical theatre, picking material, the art of the dance call, etc.)

    In the afternoons, we will rehearse final showcase material (solos, duets, trios, songs and scenes), as well as a group dance and vocal number!

    This camp is ideal for individuals of all experience and aspiration levels - whether you dream of a professional stage career or simply want to build confidence and make friends, our camp offers the perfect balance of training and fun!

    Learning outcomes include:
    - Gain improv skills and creative thinking
    - Basics of physical theatre/character physicality
    - Personalized vocal/acting coaching
    - Understanding of personal casting type/performer strengths

    • When registering, please complete the requested form by adding it to your cart! It will ask you for basic information such as camper name, age, parent/guardian contact, allergies, etc.

  • First day: please prepare a one-minute performance. It can be a song, a monologue, or even a scene if you’re registered with a friend!

    Every day: a packed lunch, a three-ring binder, pencils, and a reusable water bottle

Meet the Camp Coordinators

    NAOMI

    Naomi is a multidisciplinary artist from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Having completed her Honours Bachelor of Music Theatre at Sheridan College, she is thrilled to return to the maritimes and its lively theatre community. Naomi has a passion for accessibility in the arts. While completing her degree, she focused on making dance and movement more accommodating to all types of bodies and minds, creating choreography that is adaptable and engaging. Naomi is excited to be working with Quick As A Wink this summer! Community Theatre with QAAW nurtured Naomi's interest in performance and gave her the courage to pursue higher education, which has now led to many stage, screen, and voice acting opportunities. She looks forward to building a fun and inclusive environment for the summer camp participants!

    SARAH

    Sarah is from Berwick, Nova Scotia and has a passion for the performing arts! She has been involved with Quick As A Wink since 2019, participating in many shows and theatre camps, both as a camp participant and a counsellor. Having recently completed her first year at Acadia University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree with a focus in voice, Sarah is eager to share her knowledge and experience. Sarah attributes her growing confidence to her involvement in the performing arts, helping her to come out of her shell and find a sense of belonging. She is thrilled to be working with Quick As A Wink again this summer as a Camp Coordinator and can’t wait to share her love of theatre and music - and the joy that comes with it - with our campers!
